ok...im kinda like in the same situation.
You should try to find out about that person and know what they like, and try to find a topic that they like so yo can talk to them bout it.Try to dress like them and they might think that you both have the same taste.
I did that one time when I really wanted to be friends with this one girl I realized she liked the brand Roxy so I bought a Roxy backpack and the next day she said it was cute.
You should also compliment them on their clothes or hair. you should be like- ';oh i love your hair style can you show me how to do that.';
