Why is my mom picky about my friends?

I have a guyfriend and he is my bestest friend in the whole wide world. He sometimes forgets to say ';Thank you'; or ';Please.'; I forget, but I'm still allowed at his house.





My other friend (girl) she can be rude (sometimes)





etc.





My mom always has to pick a bone with all my friends and there is no such thing called a perfect friend. She thinks there ';bad influences'; I think she doesn't know how much they mean to me.





Can anyone help?Why is my mom picky about my friends?
Rude is not a good associate.


You mom wants the best for you and a person who are GOOD influences... Yes there is no perfect person but some can lead us into bad attitudes %26amp; actions that we would not think of ourselves.





You need to re-train your friends or loose them





This is the same in adulthood (so your getting practice) some people are good for you ... some NOT... keep the good ones and loose the other ones.Why is my mom picky about my friends?
Parents are only like that because they are protecting their children. If I had kids, I would want to know who my kids are associating with. I would allow my childs friends to go over so that I could get to know them. I wouldn't want them around negative influences. It's simply about caring about your children. Believe me, you will appreciate your parents in the long run for looking out for you.
well... she is your mum, she wants whats best for you she maybe actually does think they are bad influences it doesnt mean they are but maybe it would help if for a while they were extreamly polite you never know =) good luck x
All parents are like that. They are looking after, you trying to protect you and want the best for you.
