Just be the friend you've always been. Let things take their course. Don't make any moves toward this girl...maybe she's using you to attract the other guy...we girls do weird stuff like that sometime...no need to let your feeling get hurt.

You have a couple choices here.
1.) Tell your friend that she dont like him so he can move on.
2.) Keep up with what your doing now.
3.) Get rid of the girl and not say anything to your friend except that you dont talk to her anymore.
Personally I think your getting in way over your head for talking to this girl knowing that she likes you and you dont like her. Shame on you for leading her on. You should limit contact with this girl only b/c the only reason your still talking to her just may be for information and that's not right. You need to go on with your life. There will be another girl out there that you will fall in love with if you give yourself the time to find her and chat with her.

ok, here's the deal. tell the friend that you like the friend of the friend, and tell the ex that you like the friend of the ex of the friend, and tell the sister's friend that you are the ex of the friend of your ex. once you have done all of that, here's the twist: tell the one that you love, ';I love you';.
leave her alone. its not worth loosing a friend over, have respect for him and let him do his thing, there are plenty of other females out there.
there's nothing to handle. if your best friend of 13 years likes a chick, you play the sideline; he called it first. and you sound gay.
