If your friend is ';neglecting'; his girl friend maybe he doesn't really like her.
Also he shouldn't be jealous of you hanging out with her, if he acts like that maybe he should put some effort into the relationship.
And if he is lazy and just sits back and watches everything pass him by then he doesn't deserve to be with anyone.
Don't let him keep you from being nice to someone.
Or from making new friends.
